Pouka designs is not focussed on just one thing. Just like me! All the advice for creatives is to reeeaaally niche in and create a brand “identity”. Well, I already have an identity – I’m me.
Definitely not just one niche. Not conventional, not one to listen to advice. So my passion project, my “business”, has to be the same to stay true to myself.
I want pouka designs to be like the creative magazines of old, to encoruage creativity in general.
I do sewing, quilting, knitting, embroidery, drawing, painting, digital art… name a creative hobby and I’ve most certainly at least dabbled in it. I’m sure there are many people out there who can identify with this!
It’s important to add that I don’t have to and I don’t want to monetise all my creative endeavours. However, being a creative person ever since I could hold a pencil, I developed talent, skill, and experience which I believe can provide value and inspiration to others.
Especially in these scary times of AI slop and social media brainrot, it’s more important than ever to celebrate creativity and make art, use our hands and fire up the neurons in our brains as an act of defiance.
